Medical Director

Dr. Kretschmer grew up in Southern Louisiana and graduated with
honors from Southern Methodist University. He then pursued his
doctorate degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in
Galveston.
After residency training in Family Practice and Anesthesiology,
Dr. Kretschmer went on to become Board Certified in Emergency
Medicine. This allowed him the opportunity to become the
Emergency Department Medical Director for Tomball Regional
Hospital, Woodlands Community Hospital, Doctors Hospital in
Conroe, and Sunbelt Regional Hospital.
Dr. Kretschmer’s training also gave him the opportunity to be
the Medical Director for several EMS services. He is the prior
Medical Director for Channelview and Jacinto City EMS services
and is the current Medical Director for Northwest Rural EMS.
Dr. Kretschmer’s achievements also include once being an
Advanced Cardiac Life Support course director and Chief of Staff
at Tomball Regional Hospital. He is currently the Houston
Regional Medical Director for the First Choice Emergency Rooms.
Dr. Kretschmer has been married to his wife Nancy for 25 years
and has three children.
