Volunteer Program

The volunteer program at Northwest Rural EMS has the same basic application process as regular employment.  Applications, interviews, as well as drug testing and protocol testing are all required.  A volunteer must have at a minimum an EMT-Basic certification with BTLS, ACLS and PEEP or PALS.  Volunteers ride as a third unless a supervisor approves them to ride as a second with a paid paramedic.
